Bisexual erasure is huge within the LGBT communities. It seems that every other pride event and or equality campaign talks about gays and lesbians while forgetting the B and T. Of those who do try and be a bit more inclusive it is often just adding in the T while still not including the bisexuals. Biphobia among monosexuals is often the culprit, but also it is often lack of our own bisexual voices and visibility within the lgbtq communities.
I personally am sick and tired of the B being left out… so, here we have the BIG B in the LGBT.
This design features The letters LGBT with the B enlarged so people take note along with a check-mark done in the bisexual pride colors on the big B just in case somebody doesn’t get it.
This design features a slightly distressed and obviously used ball with bi pride overlapping triangles making up the stitching of the ball and the words “Switch Hitter” across the ball.
If you are bi and play ball you have certainly heard the phrase switch hitter in a manner not pertaining to how you bat. Whether you play hardball, softball, fast pitch, or whatever this shirt will let you show the world you own a sense of humor and spread some bi visibility at the same time.
Of course if you want to show your ball playing bi pride and funny wit without going all out with a shirt… a small button can do it for you.
We added a background pattern of the bi pride flag colors for the button.
We are all about dispelling the biphobic idea that bisexuality isn’t natural. One way to do that in our opinion is to look at nature itself. Many animals just happen to be bisexual by nature. (Bi Nature)
The legendary king of the beasts just happens to be bisexual himself. Note I said “himself.”
In the wild pretty much all male lions are bisexual. Female lions on the other hand have been noted to be bisexual, but it isn’t the usual. In the wild most of the time lionesses play it straight. Not all, but usually.
In captivity however lionesses are much more apt to get loving with other females. Why this is so science hasn’t proven yet.
As for our shirt design… we have created two different versions.
The Bi Nature version because lions are naturally bisexual and the Bi-Furious version because we thought nothing represented bi-furiousness as much as a pissed off lion.
and the “bi nature” one…
Each one is a tad different, but from the same drawing.
We thought ourselves extra special nifty when we thought of doing the nose in a double triangle bi pride symbol. 🙂 Hopefully you like it too.
Whether you are more after showing the world that bisexuality is natural or proclaiming that you are a bit bi-furious… I think we have you covered.
Have you ever seen a bisexuwhale? Now you have. This design is basically a bit of fun with words, but it is also a great, not so serious bit of bi visibility that allows for some educational discussions if you desire. Almost all whales are bisexual. I’m guessing all myself, but scientists haven’t studied ALL whales enough to know with one hundred percent certainty. Of those they have studied however, it seems bisexuality is the norm, homosexuality and heterosexuality are both common, and many whales are actually polyamorous.
